Chrisso Fokidas

Chrisso is a village of Fokida prefecture. Located very near and west of Delphi, at the foot of Parnassus, above the olive grove of Amfissa and a short distance from Amfissa and Itea, roughly through the route between the two cities. It has a population of 1,021 inhabitants according to the 2001 census.

Chrisso today is a traditional, seemly and strictly preserved village, with renovated houses surrounded by lush gardens and several neoclassical style buildings, indicating the older welfare of the inhabitants of the products of the olives. In recent years shows a rapid reconstruction. It also has traditional taverns and two picturesque squares. The central square in the heart of the village is characterized by very old plane tree and the running water. It has many traditional stone churches with prominent church of St. George, surrounded by ancient walls of Krisa.

The majority of the villagers are farmers and specifically engaged in the cultivation of the olive and its products.
