Today the city has a large tourist development with hotels, taverns and souvenir shops. The most important reason for the traveler to visit Delphi is the Museum and the archaeological site.
The place where the temple of God Apollo was built is one of the three most important energy points on the planet. Walking among the remains of the temple and the treasures, the visitor can come into contact with the spirit of the ancient world. Also from the theater you can enjoy the view of the Pleistos river valley, the Chrysaitic olive grove, Itea and the Corinthian Gulf.
The area in ancient times was called Krissao Pedio and together with the city of Delphi was part of the city-state of Krissas, a historical continuation of which is Chrisso.
